School grades hot topic at supt's meeting
A-F Accountability was the hot topic in the Superintendent’s Meeting this year. The panel shared that the ad hoc committee is asking for an extended timeframe and hope to have a draft of the framework by February for public comment. There was a great deal of discussion on various ideas for implementation, considerations for ELL students, and concerns with again using test scores as a measure. Despite the delay in finalizing the framework, they do intend to issue grades this year.
A Legislative update followed, highlighting the expectation that multiple new funding plans will be introduced.
